Introduction of Hero XPulse 200T

Hero XPulse 200T is the perfect amalgamation of the Hero Xtreme series and Hero Xpluse’s older versions. Hero XPulse 200T radiates class and a retro look of the 1970s. The “T” in Hero XPulse 200T stands for “Touring.”

The outlay is a mix and match of all the good features from the Hero XPulse 200 line and the Hero Xtreme 200S.

Scheduled to launch in March 2021, Hero XPulse 200T comes in three different colours: Sport Red, Matte Shield Gold and Panther Black. Hero MotoCrop has one other variant of Hero X pulse 200T in our stores: Hero XPulse 200T STD BS6.

The Hero XPulse 200T is powered by a 199.6cc oil-cooled single-cylinder fuel-injected BS6 engine, which offers a maximum power of 13.3 kW @ 8500 rpm and a torque of 16.15 Nm @ 6500 rpm.

Equipped with a fully digital analogue instrument panel which not only readouts the speed, distance travelled and service alerts, it comes with turn-by-turn navigation to make your touring effortless.

XPulse 200T has Bluetooth connectivity to connect your phone with your bike; it also offers the call alert feature, which shows who is calling you while you are riding, so you don’t have to stop in between on the street.

Hero XPulse comes with the now almost mandatory feature in every Hero bike; yes, we are talking about the LED headlamps. XPulse 200T comes with LED headlamps and tail lamps, where the headlamp is round in shape to give the retro vibe.

What's New in Hero XPulse 200T?

The XPulse bike has a 199.6cc air-cooled single-cylinder injection engine, now oil-cooled, producing 18.1hp at 8500rpm and 16.15Nm at 6500rpm rpm. That’s 0.3 hp and 0.95 Nm less than the BS4 engine.

This engine works in conjunction with a 5-speed transmission connected to a chain drive. Suspension in the front is a 37mm telescopic fork and a 7-position adjustable rear mono-shock at the back.

The XPulse 200T swiftly stops using 276mm front discs, 220mm rear discs and single-channel ABS. Rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels (at both ends) wrapped in MRF road tires.

This bike has a curb weight of 154 kg and a 13-litre tank. At 799mm, the seats are 24mm lower than the XPulse 200 unit.

Comfort

Hero XPulse 200T is a touring bike; thus, it is for long hauls. The upright riding position helps in it and makes the ride comfortable.

The seat says otherwise because it is narrow in size, and the cushion padding arrangement is such that one cannot sit on it for a long time.

The handle gives an excellent grip and makes the city short rides fun and safe.

Performance

XPulse 200T mileage is one of the best things on the list of all the great things about Hero XPulse 200T; it gives a solid mileage of 40 to 42 km/l.

It gives the best performance when the speed is between 50 to 80 km/h; the moment rate exceeds 100 km/h, it runs out of breath, and the engine starts to take the strain.

For the sake of lower emissions, the quality of power and torque was lower. One can experience loud vibrations while riding at 100 km/h for a long stretch.

Nonetheless, the performance found on both XPulses is suitable for rapid city work or slow, challenging trails, but not for easy travel.

The suspension helps in clearing bumps and potholes but not the wildest ones due to the reduced ground clearance.

Highlights of Hero XPulse 200T

Features of Hero Xpluse 200T

One of the essential features of this bike is the round LED headlight in the front and taillights. It also features a fully digital instrument meter that reads out speed; distance travelled, service reminders, and fuel alerts.

One can connect their phones to their bikes via the Hero smartphone app and give call alerts with Bluetooth connectivity. The turn-by-turn navigation is something the traveller inside you always wanted, and Hero gave it to you. It also provides gear position and trip details, as well as regular baggage information.

The 37mm telescopic fork in the front and seven-step adjustable rear mono-shock at the back helps in controlling and handling the bike. The XPulse 200T features 17-inch alloy wheels, 177mm ground clearance and a curb weight of 154kg.

The braking system features disc brakes on both wheels, while the single-channel ABS safety system provides a safety net.

Design of Hero XPulse 200T

The outlay of Hero XPulse 200T gives you the feel of the 1970s because of the round-shaped LED headlamp and the handle with the mirror sticking outwards in a way that gives it a retro look.

While XPulse is available in three different shades, it does not offer dual-tone models like the other 200cc Hero models.

The handle is a bit smaller than the previous XPulse because of the change in the tyres. XPulse 200T offers 17-inch alloy wheels from the Xtreme instead of the 21-18 wheel set-up of the old XPulse.

Although the handle-bars are slightly narrower, it helps get a firm grip and a sense of stability.

The seat is narrower than before, and the cushion padding is uncomfortable for long trips; even though the XPulse claims to be the touring bike, the seat available tells otherwise.

This motorcycle comes with a plastic engine guard as standard, and the engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

Hero XPulse 200T Colour Options And Variants

Hero XPulse 200T comes in 3 colour variants Sports Red, Matte Shield Gold, Panther Black. All these colours are eye-catchy and suit well on Hero XPulse 200T.

Hero XPulse 200T comes with a single variant, XPulse 200T STD BS6, which costs Rs.1,20,650.

Riding Ergonomics

While considering the on-road experience, XPulse 200T is much like the other regular street bikes. Front suspension is good and gives you a firm grip, but the back suspension of seven adjustable mono-shocks needs to be on a proper adjustment to provide you with that smooth feel.

The tyres are not like the old XPulse; they come from the Xtreme range; they are the 17-inch alloy wheels and thus provide a more relaxed steering angle and handling control.
