Latest on Hero HF Deluxe

  • Hero MotoCorp itself as a whole has been in the news lately for increasing the prices of all its bikes. This news is from a few days back where they announced the hike in nearly all their products.
  • The main reason behind this price hike is rising input costs. Input costs are the costs of raw materials and labour and all manufacturing costs indicated by the company.
  • HF Deluxe Price 2020 was around Rs. 55,925 and CD Deluxe Price was around Rs. 63,425, which Hero increased during their price hike.
  • Core commodities in bikes such as copper, steel and other items are increasing in the market due to which bike prices are increasing eventually.
  • The latest model introduced in the market was Hero HF Deluxe BS6, introduced in August 2020. It has added three new variants in the range as well.

Introduction of Hero HF Deluxe

Hero Honda, one of the best motor companies, have separated after their long joint venture.

Both companies now run individually named as “Hero” and “Honda”. Both the companies are some of the best motor companies in their genre.

Hero MotoCorp has gained control of the motorbike section, whereas Honda has domination in the motorcar section.

Hero HF Deluxe, also known as CD Deluxe, is one of the best-selling bikes of Hero MotoCorp. Priced at around 52,700, it happens to be the best by having a neck-to-neck competition with Passion Pro.

Like its other model, Hero Splendor Plus, Hero HF Deluxe is known for mileage and performance and is used by middle-class middle-class families to commute from one point to another.

What's New in Hero Hf Deluxe?

The new Hero, HF Deluxe BS6 variant, was introduced in August 2020. This model has an electronic fuel injection with advanced sensor technology.

Here’s a list of what’s new:

  • The new BS6 has a compliant engine.
  • One of the drawbacks in Hero Splendor BS6 has been fixed in Hero HF Deluxe: the halogen headlight instead of the yellow bulb headlight.
  • Instead of Black Alloy Wheels, it has introduced Silver Alloy Wheels of 18 inches.
  • The other changes are orange reflectors on the front fender and the new colour Black and Red mix.

Highlights of Hero HF Deluxe

The original, improvised Design for years

Hero HF Deluxe has worked their bikes to be clean and straightforward. It doesn’t have any fancy elements, but the original design was improvised for years—the old-school design with attractive graphics on the body panels.

Hero HF Deluxe has an angular headlamp with a halogen bulb and clear-lens signal indicators. On the visor, you can see the Hero’s 3D emblem.

The Hero HF Deluxe rearview mirrors are mounted on the handlebars and have a black finish shade. On one side of the bike, one sees the new updated three-tone graphics on the body panels.

The single-pierce seat is comfortable for two riders. The Hero HF Deluxe also gets silver colour alloy wheels.

Colour Options and Variants

The Hero HF Deluxe BS6 is available in India in five colour variants:

  1. Techno Blue
  2. Heavy Grey with Green
  3. Heavy Grey with Black
  4. Black with Purple
  5. Black with Red

They offer variants of Hero HF Deluxe in:

  1. HF Deluxe Kick Start Drum Spoke Wheel
  2. HF Deluxe Kick Start Drum Alloy Wheel

Features of Hero HF Deluxe

The Hero HF Deluxe is a typical commuter motorbike with decent hardware bits. It is not as premium and with rich specifications and features as its rivals. At this price point, HF Deluxe is doing good with all the necessary components.

The tubular double-cradle frame, the suspension performed by telescopic forks at the front. A 2-step adjustable suspension at the Rear with dual shock-absorbers at the Rear.

Pros and Cons of Hero HF Deluxe

Pros

  • Modern Styling and Colours – Hero HF Deluxe is not a fancy bike, but its contemporary styling makes it a hit in the Indian market. The five colour variant is available in Hero HF Deluxe BS6 variant that is Techno Blue, Heavy Grey with Green, Heavy Grey with Black, Black with Purple and Black with Red.
  • Mileage and Performance – Hero MotoCorp bikes are known for engine performance and are among the best mileages: 97.2cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine power hero HF Deluxe. The maximum Power the engine brings out is 8.02PS of Power at 8000 revolutions per minute and 8.05 Nm of torque at 6000 revolutions per minute. Its idle start/stop engine makes it a very fuel-efficient motorbike.
  • Fair Hardware – The Hero HF Deluxe has telescopic forks at the front and adjustable two-step hydraulic dual shock-absorbers at the Rear.
  • One of the Best After Sales Service – Hero MotoCorp, one of the largest motorbike manufacturers worldwide, has excellent after-sales service. Customers are happy with Hero’s after-sales service because it is incredible.
  • Resale Value – Like Hero Splendor Plus, Hero HF Deluxe also has excellent resale value, and the reason behind this is its demand in the market.

Cons

  • Noisy Engine – The engine of Hero HF Deluxe is noisy, and it has a lot of vibrations while riding over the speed of 60km/h.
  • Highways are not for HF Deluxe – The Hero HF Deluxe is strictly for a city-friendly person who loves riding on the streets for daily commuting. Highway rides aren’t for HF Deluxe because of the first point that its engine is pretty noisy. High speeding can shake this bike and make it go out of control.
  • Missing Disc-Brake – We know that people consider disc-brakes a premium feature in most bikes, but it’s high time that average models start adapting to it. Adding a disc brake to the front unit instead of 130mm drum brakes would have been better.
  • No Tubeless Tyre – The view of getting a puncture on a highway or an isolated road still haunts many riders. Tubeless types are excellent for such incidents. HF Deluxe has an 18-inch tyre but sadly isn’t tubeless, which makes it good but not best.

Expert Reviews

  • The truth is that Hero is one of the best motorcycle companies in the market and has domination in this section of the range. The fuel-efficient and best engine performance with superb mileage HF Deluxe is what makes this bike a formidable competitor in 100cc.

  • Hero HF Deluxe gives you plenty of decent features in this price range, which is good. According to its competitors, HF Deluxe is giving them a neck-to-neck competition.

  • Features may be decent but not premium. Several things make the HF Deluxe look pretty old to other bikes. One could The analogue instrument could be turned to digital with LED headlights on the front.

  • Hero makes up for the missing features by giving excellent after-sales service. The resale value of Hero motorbikes in any price range is pretty high, and it’s a great asset to the buyer as well.

  • The suspension and braking system would be an exciting thing to add to the review. Whereas the suspension of HF Deluxe is quite good with telescopic forks and 2-step adjustable suspension, it also lacks braking performance.

  • The braking system of HF Deluxe is not up to the mark. You cannot expect great things from Drum brakes which is why Hero should introduce Disc Brakes in its medium price range bikes. The digital instruments could be fancy, but this braking system is a matter of safety, and people should consider this matter.

  • The motorcycle also faces a significant stability issue due to its lightweight. Users often think that if the bike had more weight, it could have had better control and Power. When the bike’s weight is light, it trembles while riding it faster, which is a considerable drawback.

  • The users of Hero Splendor Plus faced the same, and we think that Hero needs to add some additional features to this price segment.

  • Over the years, while increasing the price, they could have installed LED and raised the price even more to give consumers what they want and keep them with other current bike users who have LED lamps.

  • An analogue instrument with a stylish design without a LED headlamp makes the bike a little ancient compared to others in the same price range. Creators could and should work and update its structure and looks.

  • Apart from these negative reviews, there were plenty of positive reviews for Hero HF Deluxe. That is, in this price range, it’s the best after Hero Splendor Plus, and the average/mileage it offers is across 100cc bikes.

  • The most prominent aspect of this bike is resale value; even after using it for years, this bike is getting a decent resale value which determines its demand and value in the market.

  • Also, the maintenance of this bike is relatively low, and it has a longer life than any other bike in this segment. After-sales service and customer care of Hero is also good.

Conclusion

All the information above concludes the full review of the Hero HF Deluxe i3S system, and overall is an excellent motorbike to purchase for the long run and quite relative performance in terms of mileage.

Features and reviews might be similar compared to Hero Splendor Plus because these bikes are in the same price range and offer almost identical specifications, making them rivals of the same company.

The Hero, HF Deluxe variant, is the latest one in the market, but as said above, it can be made better in terms of design by adding digital instruments and panels with some LED headlights.
