Introduction of TVS Creon

In the upcoming years, TVS Motor Company plans to increase the range of EVs it offers. The business intends to invest Rs 1,000 crore for the current fiscal year. The money would be utilised to expand production capabilities and produce EV cars.

By the end of 2022, the goal is to double the production capacity of electric vehicles to 25,000 units per month, and the following year, to 50,000 units per month. TVS would increase its yearly production capacity to 5 to 6 lakh units with this proposal.

To do so, the company will launch its new EV scooter, TVS Creon. Estimated to be launched around December 2022, TVS Creon is claimed to be India’s most effective EV. With a mileage of 80 km and a maximum speed of 60km/h, TVS has said that Creon will be the scooter for tomorrow’s India.

The Creon concept was first unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo and gave viewers a first look at a contemporary, performance-focused electric scooter that would captivate a broad audience.

Though there is not much information about the specifications of the actual model, an interesting thing to know about the scooter is that the Creon will use three Li-ion batteries with a total output of 12 kW, which is among the highest in EV scooters in India.

It has an 80 km riding range on a single charge and can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in less than 5.1 seconds. The Creon’s battery can be charged to 80 per cent in 60 minutes, according to earlier information from TVS.

What’s new in TVS Creon?

TVS Creon has a long list of characteristics, beginning with a Li-ion battery pack that generates 12kW power.

The newest features compared to other electric scooters are front disc brake, alloy wheels, and tyres which are the same as those found on the Ntorq 125 but with an additional chassis design on the perimeter frame.

There will also be a single-channel ABS and a rear disc brake. However, we anticipate some of these factors to alter; for instance, the scooter’s range will increase with less-grippy tyres.

The new age scooter will have new design features like a TFT colour screen, three riding modes, regenerative braking, park assist, anti-theft, GPS, navigation, and geofencing. It will also have a colour TFT screen.
