Introduction of KTM RC 125

In readiness for the lights to go out, the 2022 KTM RC 125 takes its spot on the starting grid. The KTM RC 125 is prepared and ready to take the fight to the street or track, making you feel like a true racer. It has an entirely new chassis, a dramatic MotoGP-inspired appearance, and better handling and ergonomics.

The new colour options for the BS6-compliant SuperSport range, which comprises the RC125, RC200, and RC 390 motorcycles, were formally introduced by KTM India when the BS6 KTM range was introduced in February 2020. The costs of the motorcycles are unaffected by adding the additional hues to this palette.

According to Bajaj Auto Ltd. President Sumeet Narang, the new KTM RCs are race-bred bikes with technology and form influenced by MotoGP racers, such as the KTM RC 16.

The motorcycles have a significant and expanding impact on KTM portfolios. In particular, fans of SuperSport motorcycles like its robust and angular styling and fascinating colour choices.

The fresh hues, carefully chosen, go together with an existing palette. The extra features on every KTM RC will increase its appeal to young, aspirational bikers! As a result, the new RC 125 motorcycle is the least expensive fully-faired bike with a 125 cc liquid-cooled engine.

What's new in the KTM RC 125?

  • Recent changes to the RC 125 supersport have been significant. It receives a redesigned front fascia similar to that of its older brothers, the RC 200 and the RC 390, and features a uni-pod halogen headlight.
  • A modern LCD console, similar to the one on the KTM 250 Adventure, has replaced the orange backlit metre console.
  • It has more features, a better engine, and an excellent appearance.
  • The new KTM RC 125 sports a powerful fuel tank, a higher windshield, split-style seating, an upswept exhaust, and sporty graphics and is constructed on a steel trellis frame.

Highlights of KTM RC 125

Design of KTM RC125

The KTM RC 125 is undoubtedly one of the best motorcycles made in India. As a result, the design must also be outstanding. To begin with, the RC 125 is your 125 Duke’s fully-faired counterpart.

After all, it draws design cues from the manufacturer of Moto GP racing machines. The new bike’s mechanicals and bicycle components are identical to those on its naked brother.

Returning to the stylish MotoGP-inspired design, the twin projector headlamps up front are a nice touch. On the chin and attached to the windscreen are the LED DRLs in the shape of a boomerang.

Its sculpted fuel tank features RC 125 badging on one side, and the instrumentation is shared with the other brother.

Thanks to optimised aerodynamics developed using CFD models, completely reworked, race-inspired bodywork offers long-lasting wind protection and a greater top speed.

The bike itself weighs about 135 kg. Its width is around 688 mm, and its length is roughly 1978 mm. The height is approximately 834 mm overall. The wheelbase is about 1340 mm long, and the ground clearance is about 178 mm. About 820 mm is the height of the seat.

KTM RC 125 comes in three colours:

Expert Reviews

  • The RC125 receives a unique paint job that makes the bike stand out, even though the design is identical to the RC200 and RC390.

  • Its 125cc liquid-cooled engine produced 14.5PS at 9,250 rpm and 12Nm at 8,000 rpm, which were respectable on the racetrack but not outstanding on the highway.

  • The lightweight footpegs let the rider firmly planted in the corners, thus offering perfect geometry for sporty riding.

  • The RC200’s frame, forks mounted upside-down, and monoshock combine to give the bike a sporty feel and assured handling, but you know the bike can handle far more power.

  • But in terms of performance in the real world, the RC 125 falls short and leaves something to be desired.
