Introduction of Bajaj CT 100

Bajaj CT 100, as the name suggests, is a 100 cc motorcycle from Bajaj Auto. Bajaj CT 100 replaced the Bajaj Boxer. The bike is the most affordable bike offered by the manufacturer.

CT 100 targets rural customers, and the bike gets perfectly designed to handle various heavy duties of the rural areas, like, carrying litres of milk by the milkman, carrying kilos of cattle food by the farmer, etc.

The second generation of CT 100 was introduced to the world by Bajaj in 2015 that had the same body as its predecessor with alloy wheels, new graphics, and an upgraded engine complying with BS3 norms.

The third generation of CT 100 was launched in July 2020 when the world was suffering through covid. Bajaj CT 100 gets a self-start feature, alloy wheels as before, and new graphics.

The bike gets a long seat to accommodate luggage on it easily. The motorcycle gets ideal for carrying heavy luggage and the weight of the rider.

Pros and Cons of Bajaj CT 100

Pros

  • Best Price – Bajaj CT 100 is the most affordable bike in the country. The motorcycle is a perfect cut-out for a buyer looking for a pocket-friendly bike, can perform heavy-duty and is suitable for all road conditions.
  • Best Comfort in its Class – With the large seats and massive grab rails, Bajaj CT 100 has proven to provide the best comfort in 100cc class. The comfort is not just limited to the rider, but it extends to pillion as well.
  • Fuel Economy – Amidst the rising price of petrol, a bike with high mileage is always preferable. The company claims that the Baja CT 100 can give a mileage of 90kmpl, which is excellent. The bike not only comes cheap but also saves money while providing good mileage figures.
  • Feature-Rich – It is very uncommon for a 100cc bike to be feature-rich. The Bajaj Auto has made CT 100 a feature-rich bike with eight new features in its latest bike model.
  • Easy to Maintain – Maintaining the CT 100 is a cakewalk for its owner. The maintenance cost of the bike is too low, again saving precious money for the owner while performing heavy duty.
  • Compact – The bike is the most compact bike in the country. The compact design of the bike makes it easy to manoeuvre in city traffic.

Cons

  • Poor Brakes – The company claims that the bike has a maximum speed of 90kmph, but the brakes do not control the bike at such high speeds.

Brakes are unreliable, so they do not give the rider the confidence to ride the bike at high speeds.

  • Engine Lacks Power – Comparedred to Bajaj CT 100 rivals, the bike’s engine lacks power. Two or three BHP more power would have made the bike much better in power than it is right now.
