Introduction of Bajaj Avenger Street 160

The first thing that comes to mind after seeing any Bajaj Avenger bike is a cruiser, a stylish low saddle height bike with the trusted vintage name of Bajaj.

Bajaj Avenger Street 160 is also piled up with the touch and design. Earlier, Bajaj Avenger 180 was India’s most affordable cruiser bike.

Replacing the earlier Bajaj Avenger 180, the new Avenger 160 comes with BSVI norms. With a single-channel anti-locking braking system (ABS), the bike is marked at an excellent price with little changes in its power and performance.

If we compare it to its competitors in the market, it gives great competition to them.

What’s new in the recent model of Avenger 160?

Bajaj introduced its new Avenger 160 to meet the market’s demand for the affordable, stylish cruiser bike. The Avenger series has been successful for Bajaj with the likes of Avenger 180 and cruiser 220, Bajaj has been superb in this category.

And this new Avenger Street is no less than its siblings; with the tag of the most affordable cruiser bike available in the market, Bajaj wants to gain control of the different segments of the bike.

The new Avenger 160 comes with a single channel anti-locking braking system (ABS), with a stylish low-height seat complimented by alloy wheels.

Avenger Street 160 has Roadstar headlights with daytime running LED lights; it has a single console analogue speedometer with the digital reading of trip metres and odometer.

With a weight of not more than 150kg, this bike offers a smooth ride, whether in city traffic or on a long highway route. With the engine capacity of 160cc, the bike offers an average mileage of 45-47 kmpl which is just above average in this segment and could have been improved.

In the front part, a black windshield gets a silver finishing, giving the bike a graceful look. The headlight halogen of a 35W uses a bulb has been used instead of the LEDs, which is a slight drawback.

Both sides are coupled with halogen turn indicators that glow well even during daylight. The suspension is covered with rubber covers that give a classy look from the front.
