Introduction of Triumph Tiger 900

Triumph Motorcycles, a British company, unveiled the Triumph Tiger 900, a middle-weight dual-sport motorbike, in 2020. While a motorbike with the name Triumph Tiger 900 (T400) was produced from 1993 to 1998. But not this model is an entirely new creation meant to replace the Triumph Tiger 800.

The starting price for the adventure bike, the Triumph Tiger 900, in India is 13,70,000 lakhs. There are three variations and nine colours available, with the top variant starting at 15,50,000 in price.

The bike’s minimal steering weight makes it a sure-footed, manoeuvrable, agile, and exciting cycle. Its high-end suspension and brake system works well with the lightweight for optimal agility.

Triumph Tiger 900, Triumph Motorcycles India’s most economical inline three-cylinder motorcycle, has received an update. The motorcycle’s 2022 incarnation gains from an upgraded colour scheme.

Triumph Tiger 900 has premium bodywork that reflects revised finishes. The cleaner lines give it a more distinctive and dominant adventure stance, with each model having enhanced details and touches that amplify their dual- and off-road bias.

Under the adjustable rally-style windscreen, two dual LED headlights hide in a recess. The seven-inch, colour TFT screen controls the more advanced electronic features, and all the standard instrumentation rides around behind the glass. Riders’ hamburger shovels are shielded from the elements by stock handguards.

Engine of the Triumph Tiger 900

Triumph Tiger 900 is an inline triple with a medium-hot, 11.27-to-1 compression ratio, a 78 mm bore, and a 61.9 mm stroke, giving it a total displacement of 888 cc. The liquid-cooled engine has two radiators, significantly increasing cooling capacity compared to the single-rad arrangement.

The engine can produce a power of 95.2 PS @ 8750 rpm and a torque of 87 Nm @ 7250 rpm.

The 12-valve head, which has four poppets per cylinder, is timed by two overhead cams for efficient aspiration and exhaust-gas evacuation.

Features of Triumph Tiger 900

While the GT models have cast wheels, the Rally versions have a more luxurious suspension and spoke wheels.

The display has an optional accessory-fit connectivity system, which allows for clear turn-by-turn navigation, GoPro control, phone and audio interaction via the switchgear, and more.

Additionally, a new 20-litre gasoline tank with more capacity enhances long-distance performance.

The claimed mileage of Tiger 900 is 23.66 kmpl. The slip-and-assist clutch has a light lever pull weight, and anti-hop protection offers the rider their first line of defence. Triumph Tiger 900’s top speed is approximately 125 mph (202 km/h) because of an overall gear ratio.

The six-speed transmitter transmits power to the back wheel via a durable chain and final sprocket drive.

The front suspension incorporates Marzocchi 45mm upside-down forks, manual rebound, compression damping adjustment, and 180mm travel.

The front wheel brakes have Twin 320mm floating discs and Brembo Style 4 piston Monobloc callipers. The radial front master cylinder has Optimised Cornering ABS, whereas the rear wheels have a single 255mm disc. Brembo single piston sliding calliper.
