Bajaj has applied for the trademark of “Swing” and “Genie”, which mostly will be E-scooters, under the banner of Bajaj Chetak. This is done to ensure that the rights of the names are secured by the company. The application status says “Formalities Chk Pass,” which means the trademark submission has been authenticated. In the verge of expansion of portfolio in electric scooters these bikes are registered. Currently only Bajaj Chetak is being sold and with these two scooters, Bajaj will launch more affordable scooters for its customers. With the market getting more competitive and competitors like OLA, TVS, Simple one, Ather launching affordable variants, Bajaj will also launch more such scooters, and build its lineup. Some other names have also been registered such as Bajaj Badal and Bajaj Runner. Earlier this year in March, the company had registered three names – Bajaj hammer, Bajaj Aura and Bajaj Racer.

Bajaj is planning to expand its 3-wheeler lineup with its first Electric 3-wheeler launch later this year. So we can assume the above registered names may be of a electric 3-wheeler.
