Ola Electric has launched the S1 X, its new entry-level offering, in three variants with prices starting from Rs 89,999 for the most affordable 2kWh variant. The mid-spec version is also called the S1 X, but it gets a larger 3kWh battery and costs Rs 99,999. At the top of the X range is the S1 X+, which gets additional connectivity features and costs Rs 1,09,999. All three versions are being offered with a Rs 10,000 discount on the aforementioned prices until August 21.

The electric scooter is built on an all-new Ola’s new ‘Gen 2’ e-scooter platform. Visually, the scooter looks like a more barebones version of the S1 Air, with a redesigned headlamp, handlebar, new round mirrors and a flat floorboard. It is offered in a range of two-tone and multi-tone colour schemes. In terms of features, the S1 X features an LCD screen and doesn’t get a TFT touchscreen display like the other electric scooters in Ola’s lineup. The S1 X Plus gets a 5-inch display, while the other two models will be equipped with a smaller 3.5-inch display. The S1 X Plus also gets features like a digital key, cruise control and smart connectivity.

Ola Electric also introduced the upcoming MoveOS 4, which will receive a beta version via over-the-air (OTA) update starting September 15, followed by the full-scale version in October. MoveOS 4 incorporates a range of features, including Ola Maps, Hill Descent, Find my scooter, Location push, HC Routing, Megaphone, Concert Mode, Customizable motor sounds, Theft/Tow/Fall detection, Geo and time fencing, Take-me-home lights, Auto turn-off indicators, Ride and Energy Stats, Call Filter, Biometric unlock, Widgets, Dark Mode, and Scooter locator.
