The already stronger naked Yamaha MT15 is a 155cc beast now future proof with its BS-VI compliant engine. The motorcycle creates power from a four-stroke, four-valve liquid-cooled SOHC engine. The motor is capable of churning out power 18.6PS and 14.1Nm.

Compared with the BS4 version, the engine output gets a bit lower- almost 0.7PS and 0.6Nm, to be precise.

While the engine tune of the bike remains just the same for its BS6 version, the shorter final drive ratio on the naked makes the bikeway too quick while commuting.

The motorcycle makes the same delta box frame, front conventional telescopic fork, and rear mono-shock unit as R15 v3.

However, talking about the rear swingarm, it doesn’t feature aluminium instead of steel box-type. Braking, however, is the same, with disc brake at both the end.
