Introduction of Suzuki Gixxer SF 150

The Gixxer SF was first made available by Suzuki in 2015. The Suzuki Gixxer SF is made from the Gixxer 150’s plans and looks just like its older sibling, the SF 250. The Gixxer is a product that is sold all over the world and in many Asian countries.

When it first came out, the Suzuki Gixxer was made to compete with the Yamaha FZ. Later, Suzuki made a version of the same motorcycle with a cover and named it Gixxer SF. Over the years, Suzuki learned a lot about the Indian market. For example, it discovered that Indians like two-wheelers that look big but have a small engine size. Suzuki’s new Gixxer SF 150 comes when people are becoming more interested in small, fully-covered sportbikes.

Gixxer SF 150 is a motorcycle that looks very nice. It’s pretty big and doesn’t look like a 150cc. The bike is a perfect mix of all. It is appealing to the eyes with its cutting-edge sporty looks and a decent engine to ride in traffic and open highways.

What’s new in the latest model of Suzuki Gixxer SF 150

  • The latest version of the Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 comes with telescopic suspension, reducing the chances of suspension oil leakage in the bike.
  • Suzuki has introduced a brand-new black paint scheme for the bike, which looks great and complements its demeanour.
  • On the back, the mudguard has been moved to the swing arm. It is similar to what Bajaj did with the Pulsar NS 200.
  • The most noticeable change for the Gixxer SF 150, however, is the incorporation of a split-seat design, making the bike feel sportier.
  • The fuel tank also has a new muscular design, while new decals on fairings have now replaced older ones.
  • Up front, the company seems to have incorporated a new LED headlamp, providing much necessary masculinity to the bike’s character.

Highlights of Suzuki Gixxer SF 150

Design of Suzuki Gixxer SF 150

The Suzuki Gixxer SF, like the Gixxer SF 250, is a fully-faired motorcycle with a curvy and sleek design. It’s a newer version of Gixxer 155. From every angle, the 2022 model appears much more sporty, muscular, and well-proportioned than the previous design.

The bike’s dimensions are 2,205 mm long, 715 mm wide, and 1,035 mm high. It weighs 146 kg, has a ground clearance of 165 mm, and has a massive fuel tank with a capacity of 12 litres.

In terms of styling, the Suzuki Gixxer 155’s fascia features a full-LED headlight, a windscreen, and two rear-view mirrors. Like the previous version, the instrument panel in the cockpit is all digital. The clip-on handlebar is perfect for steering duties, offering forward-leaning and sportier ergonomics.

The split, step-up seat gives the bike a sporty look, and the pillion grab rail fits in well with the lines of the back panel. The tail section includes an LED light with two rear blinkers positioned closer to the number plate. Overall, the Gixxer SF will significantly have a fabulous and strong presence on the road since it now borrows design and styling from the Gixxer SF 250.

Expert Reviews

  • Under Rs. 1.5 lakhs, the Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 is the best-handling covered motorcycle.

  • It’s fun to switch lanes, and this bike likes to be tipped into corners and stays on course pretty well when it comes to twisty roads.

  • With a ground clearance of 165 mm, you can easily overcome obstacles without hitting your belly.

  • When driven sensibly, the motorcycle gets 50 km/l of gas, which is excellent, but if you drive it too hard, it only gets 38–40 km/l.

  • With a 12-litre gas tank, you should be able to go between 480 and 550 km. And the same goes for the long-haul. The engine doesn’t feel stressed when riding at 80 km/hr for a long time.

  • The Gixxer SF 150 gets powered by a 155cc air-cooled motor and makes 13.6 PS at 8000 RPM and 13.8 Nm of torque at 6000 RPM. Even though the power numbers aren’t that high, the way the power is delivered is pretty straight. The low-end grunt is just about enough, the mid-range is where the motor shines, and the top-end feels good.

Conclusion

The engine upgrade on the Suzuki Gixxer SF 150, which makes it compliant with BS6, doesn’t change its look or feel. It has a good suspension setup that doesn’t hurt the rider’s comfort. If you go faster than 110 km/h, the bike’s engine won’t feel like it’s working hard.

The bike is an excellent option to think about at this price, but people don’t seem to want to buy it, and many people buy the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 or Yamaha R15 V4 instead. The Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 is a perfect product, but the company needs to spend more money on marketing it and improving its after-sales service by staying in touch with its customers.

The Gixxer should be your choice if you want a beautiful, fully-covered motorcycle that doesn’t sacrifice comfort. This kind of motorcycle doesn’t look all that great on paper but makes you happy.

The bike can get you around the city daily and go with you on long weekend rides. So, Suzuki Gixxer SF 150 is an excellent motorcycle to consider if it checks off everything on your list.
