BMW R 18 gets a powerful, air-cooled, 1802cc boxer-twin engine. The engine is a modern interpretation of BMW’s classic flat-twin design, with a large displacement and plenty of low-end torque.

R 18’s engine produces a maximum power of 89.8 bhp horsepower at 4750 rpm and a maximum torque of 158 Nm at just 3000 rpm, providing strong acceleration and ample power for cruising at highway speeds.

The BMW R 18 features advanced suspension technology for a smooth and comfortable ride. The suspension duties at the front are performed by a telescopic fork that provides 120 mm of travel. And at the rear, it’s by a cantilever swingarm with a central shock absorber that gives 90 mm of travel.

The braking system provides optimal stopping power and control. At the front, the braking is performed by 300 mm twin disc brakes accompanied by a 4-piston fixed calliper. At the rear, the 300 mm single-disc brakes and four-piston fixed callipers perform the braking.
