The BMW F 850 GS Adventure has a six-speed transmission speed and a Multiple-disc wet clutch(anti-hopping) that is mechanically operated. It also has an endless O-ring chain with shock damping in the rear wheel hub.

The front suspension system has a 43 mm upside-down fork. The rear suspension system, which is rebound-stage damping adjustable, has an aluminium stereo swing arm directly hinged WAD central strut. It is spring based and hydraulically adjustable.

Regarding the braking system, the front brakes of the BMW F 850 GS Adventure consist of a double disc brake with floating brake discs and a 305 mm disc with twin-piston floating callipers.

On the other hand, it has a single 265 mm disc brake for the rear brakes. It is a single-piston floating calliper, and its thick discs and huge reservoir capacity have increased fade resistance.
